Former Indian cricketer and team captain Azharuddin narrowly escaped injury in a traffic accident in the Indian state of Rajasthan, but his car was severely damaged. Former captain of the cricket team and Congress party leader Muhammad Azharuddin Sui was on his way to the National Park in Ranthambore in Madhopur district when an accident occurred on the road. The accident took place on Lalsot Kota Highway. Apart from Azharuddin, three other people were also present in the car at the time of the accident. After the incident, the locals recognized Azharuddin and were surprised to see him nearby. Later, he was taken to the hotel by another car. According to Surwal police, Azharuddin's car overturned uncontrollably and fell into a field on the other side of the road. One person was injured and is being treated at a nearby hospital.
