Prominent all-rounder Shahid Afridi and fast bowler Naseem Shah have been ruled out of the remaining matches of the sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

The remaining matches of the sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League are expected to start on June 5, but the Sultans have already lost Shahid Afridi's services.

Confirming the development, Multan Sultans said, "We are deeply saddened to announce that superstar and key member of the franchise Shahid Afridi will not be able to play the remaining matches of PSL 6 due to a back injury."
The franchise said that Multan Sultans will miss the famous all-rounder and we pray for his speedy recovery.
All-rounder Shahid Afridi said that he went to the doctor for lower back pain during training for the remaining matches of Pakistan Super League 6 and unfortunately the doctors advised me to rest, so I went to Multan Sultans in Abu Dhabi League. I will not be able to join.
In place of Shahid Afridi, Multan Sultans have included Asif Afridi in their squad.
On the other hand, Quetta Gladiators fast bowler Naseem Shah has been released from the isolation set up at a local hotel in Lahore for violating the protocols for departure from Pakistan.

Naseem Shah will no longer be able to leave for Abu Dhabi on May 26 due to the submission of an unacceptable PCR test report, so he has been ruled out of the tournament.
All passengers departing from Karachi and Lahore on a chartered flight to Abu Dhabi under the Code-19 protocol for the remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League 6 were given a maximum of 48 hours before entering the Lahore and Karachi team hotels on May 24. He had to submit his code-19 test report.
However, Naseem Shah submitted the report of his code-19 test on May 18 and on submission of the old report, he was kept in isolation on a separate floor of the hotel.
Later, on the recommendations of the three-member Independent Medical Advisory Panel of PSL, it was decided to release the fast bowler.

It may be recalled that Pakistan Super League season 6 started from Karachi on February 20 and the matches of the event were to be played in two cities of the country Karachi and Lahore this time. However, on March 4, Pakistan Super League faced 7 players and others in Corona cases. It was decided to postpone after coming.
Preparations have been made to restart the league in Karachi but due to the insistence of the franchise owners and the situation in Code-19, the remaining matches of the event will now be played in Abu Dhabi.
